NYS CONDITIONAL ADULT-USE RETAIL DISPENSARIES (CAURD)

Conditional Adult-Use Retail Dispensary (CAURD) Licenses will be the first adult-use retail dispensary licenses issued in New York State. The businesses awarded this license (licensees) will be the first to sell adult-use cannabis in New York State.  So these are the licenses you need to get to sell cannabis legally in New York.

FAQ

Eligibility

There are two sets of eligibility criteria. Applicants can choose to apply under the qualifying business criteria or the qualifying nonprofit criteria. Each has its own set of specific criteria you must meet to qualify, such as the business must have had a net profit for two (2) of the years the business was in operation. (for full details, visit the CAURD FAQ page here).

NOTE: If you do not meet the eligibility requirements for a license, or you apply and are not selected, you may have other opportunities to apply for an adult-use cannabis license in the future.
