WOCC WORKS is a training program developed in collaboration with Minority Women-owned training, talent acquisition, and human resources company Illinois Equity Staffing (IES).
Leveraging the community experiences fielded by WOCC coupled with the 3+ years of experience in Cannabis training IES brings to the partnership, WOCC WORKS has developed two training paths to assist Cannabis companies in creating real and lasting equitable company culture.
PERSPECTIVES
This training is the first in a series of trainings that view equity work from different perspectives.
This training undergirds cannabis organizations, businesses and leaders to create cultural and structural shifts through a “perspectives taking” approach.
Perspectives addresses institutional, ideological, interpersonal and individual understandings of how we approach, navigate and change our environments. This 1-hr training specifically highlights how racism has and continues to impact our work in the cannabis industry and the workplace as a whole while providing useful information as to how to create a more equitable work environment

RESPECTFULLY
This training will explore the ways in which rape culture, sexual harassment, and blurred lines operate in Cannabis culture.
Respectfully, encourages Cannabis businesses, leadership, and employees to create cultural and structural shifts to promote safe working environments for their employees. This 1-hr training will discuss a variety of topics relating to Sexual Harassment, abuse of power, unsafe workspaces, ways to support employee shares, and methods to encourage employees to support their fellow co-workers to prevent toxic work environments.
