Me, Too & Marijuana
This series, which we brought to you first in 2020 and again in 2021, is dedicated to making the cannabis industry a safer place from harassment and is named for the #metoo movement. We at WOCC are so thankful to all who have lent their time and their voices for our first discussion on the incredibly important topic of #MeTooandMarijuana.
Because of the sensitive nature of the conversation, we are unable to share any video or audio from the discussions we have had. However, because the conversation is such an important one to have, we are sharing resources from the webinars here, as well as sharing additional resources in our private Facebook group (which you can request to join).
Download the topics of discussion and the presentation below for a discussion starting point/some resources to help you get started:
Women of Color in Cannabis has also created a Facebook group to serve as a network of resources for our community in the Cannabis space. We were honored by the attendance of our CannaSessions and realized many women and femmes have been plagued by unprofessional and insensitive engagements within the Cannabis industry. Interactions such as these have prevented our progress in the space, and have even discouraged many of us from entering the industry. The intent for this page is to be a resource and safe space to share survivor stories and create a growing list of allied companies and personalities/environments to stay clear of. Request to join our Facebook group here.
